Just bought my first here at the regular Target in west Wichita, Kansas. It was in an end display on closeout at half price (139.98 down from 279.99), for a Roomba Discover (with wall mount, two virtual walls, and a floor base). Interestingly enough, at the Super Target nearby, the same one was on sale for $179.98.

Per iRobot the 4160 robot ITSELF is identical to the new inteli-bin scheduler 4260. The ONLY difference other than shape/button layout is accessories.geekgranny wrote:HSN has listed.... iRobot Roomba Vacuum with Intelli-Bin, Charger and Virtual Wall - Item: 192-253 http://www.hsn.com/cnt/prod/default.aspx?webp_id=2792051&web_id=2792051&sf=HM&attr=2268

Thanks, mesteve. Well I just can't purchase any more, now, as I just got three new DirtDogs and took advantage of the fabulous WOOT deal last week. Otherwise I would have jumped on the HSN deal. Again, thanks for clarifying. geekgranny

Hammacher Scooba web description is innacurate
Hammacher web Scooba description ad states it comes with 32oz of cleaner... not true, it came with 8oz. Their Customer Service said it's an error in the ad which they had no way to honor... the only option offered was to return the whole thing. So, realize if you see one of their ads stating the 32oz. that they don't ship that and won't honor it.

Maybe they changed the description already, but it shows 8oz now.jondil wrote:Hammacher web Scooba description ad states it comes with 32oz of cleaner... not true, it came with 8oz. Hammacher Scooba web description is corrected
Good to see they finally corrected it... it was still wrong when I posted here. It took 2 e-mails to their Customer Service. Their first response on 12/5 was a sorry, but they took no action. I responded that they should honor it, plus fix the description to not disappoint other buyers. Here's their 2nd reply (received 12/7 9:35am EST):
Dear ...,
Thank you for your email to Hammacher Schlemmer. I do apologize for the
inconvenience regarding the cleaner advertisement. We do not have and will not
be getting a 32 ounce cleaner for this item as stated. I have requested that
the website be corrected. Unfortunately, what came with the item is the only
thing that we have to send with the item. The additional cleaner that we sell
for $23.95 is 32 ounces and comes in a set of four, but this has to be purchased
as a seperate item. I do apologize but there is nothing more we can do. I can
send you label if you would like but there is nothing that I can exchange it for
as this was an error and is being corrected. I do again apologize for the
inconvenience.
Best regards,

Re: Hammacher Scooba web description is innacurate
I have said this many times, but it bares repeating. Buying from BB & B is absolutely the best because not only do they have a LIFETIME guarantee as good as Hammacher, BUT there are NO hassles such as this person is going through. I bought a Scheduler from them almost a year ago, and I just returned it for a refund (nothing wrong with it, just no longer have any carpet) so I bought a Scooba with the 20% off coupon. ($299- 20%). Again, they told me that I could return it at any time, any year. So if something malfunctions, I can just exchange it for another one...no hassles and NO WAITING! (unlike HS).jondil wrote:Hammacher web Scooba description ad states it comes with 32oz of cleaner... not true, it came with 8oz. LIFE IS GREAT WITH A SCOOBA!
Does all the shops stated do International shipping and can we buy international warranty?
I'm staying in Singapore and would love to get the scooba for my wife.. Singapore distributor sells for $1298(USD840)..that's damn ex..
I read in the forum that the US version is 120V, I guess I will need to get a tranformer for the Voltage difference, Singapore is @ 240V..

wow, didn't realise that its >S$1K. anyway, to get the scooba, what I did was to buy it online and ship it via VpostUSA. yes, you need to get a transformer. I think incl. shipping, mine was about S$500. should be cheaper now as I got it when it was first released.kk wrote:Does all the shops stated do International shipping and can we buy international warranty?

kohls scooba on sale
i just picked up a scooba 5900 at kohls "one hour sale" for 233.99 plus tax.
i do think the one hour sale is actually an all day sale, as i was just browsing and was surpirsed to find the 5900 in my target range. perhaps an all week sale as well...

5910 at Sams
I've been debating this purchase for a while. (Why? Only because I've been spending way too much on remodelling my home. Normally this wouldn't have been a debate. I love new gadgets.)
After reading different price promotions, I decided to check out Sams Club. I was thrilled to see that they have the Scooba 5910 for just $199.81. And the 3 year service plan was just $14.88, which seemed like a steal!
From what I've read and what I can tell, the 5910 is just the 5900 with 2 virtual walls and a storage mat. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that one!
Thanks for all the information sharing on this site, and Happy New Year to my new tile floors!

Canadian source(s) of Roomba and Scooba
Linens n Things carries some of the Roomba line here in Canada. Never buy one there though without using one of the 20% off coupons that appear regularly in their flyers. That 20% can save a load of cash on purchase.
Another source is Robotshop.ca
I've never ordered from them but have heard that they are pretty good. They carry all kinds of robot related things, Roomba and Scooba as well. However they are not cheap and there is no discount or sale that I have ever seen.
