My second problem after a year of purchasing Roomba.
First one after 6months was the chicken dance - The shop replaced it.
And today, 6 months later, a bettery problem.
The Roomba Discovery SE is indicating a full charge, but it only runs for 15 minutes. I charge it again using the base, it recharges after 20 minutes, and again only works for 15 minutes. Same problem when charging without the base.
I tried the reset in the FAQ and 3 days charging but sill no change.
As I have another charger (I'm into RC helicopters/Planes) that can charge NiMh cells, I'm wondering whether it would be OK to do a charge at say 3A or maybe try a slow charge at 1/10C (does anyone know the capacity of the cells?). I'd connect the charger leads directly to the negative and positive terminals of the battery.
Would this work or do the battery packs include safety/charging electronics?
