New untimely Roomba owner

Post by jcanty »

Hi,all..I am a new owner of a Roomba Scheduler for pets. We have had the Furbinator for abt a week. I am a little distressed reading about the upgrades available on the new generation.
We have 4 cats and the cleaning of the machine is a lot of maintenence.

What do you think? Send Furby back and get the new easier to maintain one or let it ride?

I love the site it has helped me alot in understanding our new house help.
I bought it with the 20% coupon and don't want to let the active coupon get away while I am dithering.

I would absolutely send it back and get the new one. The new models are vastly superior to the older ones, and if you paid a similar price, then returning it is a no brainer. iRobot offers a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, so take advantage of it while you still can!

The Furbinator is going back

Post by jcanty »

Thank you for your reply. It seemed like a no brainer to me but it is nice to have confirmation. I ordered the 560 with the msport coupon. It says in stock shipping 3-4 weeks. Hmmmm

Guess I'll be without a little while. I will keep the original for another week and then ship him off. The deciding factor was the blow out job he got this A.M. in the garage. Also I have spent 6 months sanding woodwork in this 80 year old house and refinishing it. I really liked the soft touch.

Once again, love the forum. The info is invaluable.

Any news about compatibility with 230v AC networks

Post by visitor-1013 »

New Roombas = good news indeed.

Are there any first hand accounts, if the new charger is able to handle 230v AC networks natively (without soldering/...), thus, making it a no-brainer to ship it abroad?

Pre orders

Post by jcanty »

Go to the store on www.irobot.com and order in the normal manner.

The coupon code is msport.

The 560's are 3-4 weeks out now also.

I entered the msport promotional code, and I got an error on irobot's site when attempting to buy the 560.

Anyone able to get it working this morning? I wonder if it's been removed. :?

I wasn't able to use the code, either.

HOWEVER, on the shopping cart page there is a "bonus" option under the "you might also like" heading that includes: Bonus Accessory Kit includes 2 Scheduling Virtual Walls, Filters, Roomba Replenish Kit and Cleaning Tool. For ONE CENT!

But is that accessory kit for the new Roomba or the older models?

I would assume the new models, but that is a good point - it is worth checking!

It looks like the coupon code has expired.

You can still use coupon code loy10irbt for 10% off, which is better than nothing!

Promo Code????

Post by Trevsmom »

What's the trick with the "msport" promo code? I tried to use it on the IRobot site to purchase the 570 and no go.....I then tried to use if to order the 560 -- same thing? Am I doing something wrong?

Was Hammachler Schlemmer left out accidentally or will they no longer be handling retail sales?

Does anyone know the procedure for taking advnatage of the 30 day money back guarantee? Do you need to contact Irobot ahead of time before returning it? I just got a Pet model Aug 3rd and it is working great but if I can snag a 560 for a few dollars more it sounds worth it.

Returning roomba

Post by jcanty »

I sent them an e-mail asking abt the 30 days from the shipping date. My question was
Do they have to have posession of it within the 30 days or is the 30 days figured from ship date to ship date.

To say the least,i sent a new e-mail informing them they had not answered my question with" Just return it with in 30 days" for the answer.

We' see. My ship date was 8/14 and the 560's are backordered for 3-4 weeks already.

Lucky guys that got that order in early yesterday.
