Post by Sammy »

HSN has the Scooba 335 on sale for $249.95. Shipping is $3.95

Use the new customer coupon code C56574 to drop the price to $216.37 delivered!

Here is the link to the Scooba 335 at HSN

Edited to reflect the current price, and the correct model number.

Sorry doesn't work.

The code doesn't work on this one, I tried it. The code is not good for electronics. Still a good deal though. I bought one. :)

I'm one click away.... Roomba 535 and Scooba 5800 for 471.17 delivered (That's with the HSN first time 15% discount applied to the roomba only).

That is a lot of money, but I'm really tempted!!

This may be redundant, but do I understand that you can not get the 15 percent first time customer on the Scooba?

Does anyone understand what the 19.99 service agreement fee is for the first year? I thought these were all guaranteed for the first year anyway.

They are. The $19.99 service agreement extends the warranty to 2 years. Keep in mind that many credit cards do this automatically as well, including almost all American Express cards:

Buyer's Assurance Plan
With the Buyer's Assurance Plan, you can shop worry-free knowing that the terms of the original manufacturer's warranty will be matched up to one additional year, on warranties of five years or less that are eligible in the U.S.

Check the benefits of your credit card before purchasing a 1 year warranty extension. You may already have it! :)

The "purchased service plan", called 1-Year Protection Plan, generally begins after the one year warranty provided by iRobot (and similar for other policies for other products). We will probably get a credit to be used at HSN or replacement with similar model, but I don't know about latter as they are not now carrying some of the models that they previously sold. I am unaware of any of the approved, large retailers who are set up to offer repair service in the US. Note that HSN has changed the option from two year ($35) to one year ($20). All I can guess is the reason for this change in offered length is perhaps, now that they have been selling the 'bots, for some time, they are beginning to see more requests for replacement or credit on 'bots that are over a year old (with many products you deal directly with the manufacturer during the manf. warranty period). All of my DirtDogs and Scoobas purchased from HSN have the coverage. (I would have more Roombas with that coverage but didn't know HSN was selling them for a long time.) One DirtDog, out of warranty, has gone "sick" so I'm probably going to be gathering HSN "extended protection" experience starting next week.

Actually, I don't think this one is the 5800, although the looks are similar. They said on TV that it has the "newer technology" and that it cleans up to 500 square feet per cleaning cycle . They list the model number as #335. They used to carry the 5800, but have been out for awhile.

Ordered one, this is a good deal either way! :D

I ordered three for Christmas gifts for my daughters and Mother. You just can't go wrong. My daughters love my Scooba but it was too spendy for them to buy themselves. They will be elated.

Looks like the price held at $199, even after no longer being the special of the day - which means that the coupon code can now be applied! :)

Edit: Spoke to soon. They raised the price to $249.95, as expected. ;)
