New Samsung VCRA84V and VCRA84VC "Tango"

Post by ibarbvic »

Hello,

I want start a new post about your experience with this new robot.

I´m very surprised because it has some tips of the roomba (irobot), like virtual wall or look the back side of this robot.

The dimensions are ok, W355mm & H93mm.

There are more information and pictures in the next link.

http://www.samsung.com/sec/consumer/det ... d=VC-RA84V

I was reading about the difference between 84V and 84VC and one is the colour, blue and brown and other one is voice commander, of course in korean.

I don´t understand about the interest to introduce the Furor model in USA with this new model in the korean market with tips like roomba, more familiary with american customers.

I´ll wait yours confidence about this new model.

Thanks

Hi,

New models

VC-RA52V, torch red. Basic version, cheapest, without virtual wall tecnology in the supplier and the touch display is different than the next models. Very similar than the VC-RE70V/72V

VC-RA84V, mirror blue. Similar touch display, you can clean the vacuum without open it. And may be one virtual wall incluided in the box.

VC-RA84VC, mirror cooper.I don´t know the difference. Maybe the voice recognition.

I´ll wait your news.

Hi,
I was reading about these new robots, and there are a lot new funtions.
- There are scheeduling, hours/minute to start and repeat per day.
- You can select a continuos cleaning or only one clean work.
- You can switch on/off the voice sound.
- There are 2 virtual wall in the robot box.
- ... and I will investigate more about it.

The battery in NI-MH, , the same than the VC-RE70v/72v.

I was trying to buy one in Gmarket, but... No international shipping! :o
See you.

Hi, there are differents ebay´s sellers. I have found,

http://shop.ebay.es/i.html?_nkw=VC-RA84 ... 86.c0.m283

The price is high, it would be better to wait, may be problems with the first version.
It´s possible that irobot wait to see about the introduction of this new version in order to put in the market the new Roomba.

I read about lithium batteries, Can be it?.

Thanks.

Hi, there are a lot differences between NI-Mh and Lithium battery, but the best is the long life non-memory forming Lithium battery. Is smaller and it let you to controlate the charge cycle and capacity.
I read some post about it in the chat, I will find

If u are using the cleaner on a daily basis, lithium batteries may not actually have a longer lifespan than NiMh. This is my experience with using lithium batteries for my Roomba and Scooba. The price premium for the lithium batteries is not worth the minimal gain (if any) IMO. I'm back to using NiMh batteries.

I thought changing Ni-MH batteries with lithium batteries to reduce weight of the robot. But I shelved this idea for now.

Yes, u can reduce the weight of the robot with lithium replacement, possibly reducing wear and tear to the drive train components. How much of an actual savings is a Qs? Are the savings enough to offset the higher cost of lithium batteries? In addition, u have to consider the effects of a weight reduction, if it affects the balance of the robot.

You are right there. For example; when one wheel is on the carpet and the other is on hard floor, robot is sometimes skating and loosing it's path. I think; the less weight causes the more slide on wheels especially when the wheels are on different surfaces. At this time, wheels may need to modify.

Greetings all,

Been monitoring these forums for past few months and xmas is coming soon. Looking to by my mother-in-law one of these vacuums. Was originally looking at the roomba 560 , but after alot of searching and reviews wanted to make sure I wasn't just jumping the gun. I've read up on your reviews and talk of the Samsung Furot models and the new tango, My wife is korean so I don't have a problem readin the sites just trying to get some more info on the Tango to help finalize my decision.

A bit about her place, I'd say about 80% of the floor is carpet with the exception of the kitchen ( which is big and its a large house ) Theres a famiy of 4 and all girls minus the dad. So I'm guessing there may be hair here and there. Theres no pets though. So going by that mainly what would you guys recommend. I don't mind forking out for the tango if it lives up to its name just never had a robot experience before other than seeing an old 530 roomba at a friends house once. Any help is appreciated =]

Hi, my experience is ok with VC-RE70V with 140m2 and without carpet. 90 minutes are all the time for vacuum the house.
I haven´t experience about carpet vacuum, but it could be ok.
My first vacuum robot was a Trilobite ZA1, I suggest to visit this link about Trilobite because it has more power.

Hi,
I've considered purchasing the Samsung Hauzen VC-RA52V Robot Vacuum but have noticed the display on top of the vacuum is in Korean and the automated voice from the robot is also Korean....Which is of no use to me :( :(

:hand: But have found that the Italian version the Samsung SR9630 Robot Vacuum is in English  both display and automated voice... :hand: But is very difficult to get hold of and or very costly....

So now they have release the NEW version the Samsung Tango VC-RA84V Robot Vacuum.... Dose anyone know if this is available in English....?

Hi, I have it. Everything is in Korean ... manual, buttons and the robot speaks Korean :) But ... the manual has pictures and it is relatively easy to understand how to operate it. Don't be afraid :) But read my notes in another thread to prevent some disappointment.
