For people with young children, can the roomba clean up everyday messes such as cereal and such on the floor? Does it have the power to really be worth the expense?

Yup, the Roomba does a very good job of picking up cereal.

Check out the Roundup Review under the reviews section, or for a quick comparison, just go straight to the comparison chart for how the Roomba cleans on different surfaces.

Can roomba pick up cereal?

Post by Guest »

It can pick up dry cereal. Of course, how often do kids only spill their cereal and not the milk too. Only dry cereals or pastas should be cleaned by Roomba, not cooked ones. I read about someone trying to use Roomba to clean up cooked mac and cheese. It was a disaster and ruined the unit. Now if Roomba comes out with a mopbot.....

Well...one way to get around the "wet" pasta is to let it sit till the next day and THEN run the Roomba! :D
