Both of them has third pin - they are earthed. But is it necessary to earth the neato dock?
Btw, the cord Neato uses is a fairly standard 3 pin plug design similar to a PC power cable (not identical tho) and any electronics part store would be able to sell you one.
So this cable will be suitable for the xv-11's transformer/charger? Only put it in it and will work without troubles?

I can't see a 3rd pin on the adaptors you posted? aussie ones look like this (yes the Neato PSU needs to be earthed):

yeah, it's called a clover leaf plug, Here is the Aussie Version:

This is "E-type" (mean: 'french type') of socket/power plug.

Yours is "I-type" (Australia).
In US there is "A-type".

It's not good that XV-11 dock need to be earthed as most of the sockets in my house (except kitchen, bathroom and laundry room) are not grounded :|

BTW, I'm curious why Neato PSU need to be grounded

Thanks.

Lol, trust the french to do things differently! :D

All good gear is grounded imo! In Aus all power points must have the ground pin on them by law but the appliances dont need to however most quality gear does use the ground pin.

It is named 'french' but is used not only in France but in few other countries too. btw I'm not living in France lol :)

In my country it is not restricted as much - grounded socket are a necessity only for appliances which has heating element and are supposed to contact with water (e.g. washers, dryers, dishwashers, coffe makers, etc.) or has the ability to produce positive charges (e.g. PC).

So why you will change it for a cable? It is not good solution?
