I also find casino is a good option for buying parts for roombas that are not offered by irobot, (pcb, bumper sensor, motors).

He is also often cheaper for them than Protech Robotics but it varies from item to item.

Xamindar wrote:Wow, I used to think casino187 was a trustworthy source based on comments from trusted posters here . He snuck out the VWs and jacked up the price to hopefully trick the uninformed into buying this. Sad. But most should know to always check other sources before buying anything off ebay. I don't think I have seen a good deal on ebay (other than stuff from China) in years. Also, back when I was looking to get an aerovac bin this seller had them for $60, what a joke!

EDIT: just took a look and now he has the aerovac for $85. Wow, if people are actually buying this stuff then this guy must be laughing all the way to the bank!
I have never bought from casino187 but everyone I have read describes him as a good seller. He has excellent feedback.

The sad thing is a seller can be accused of "tricking" buyers even though all the info and price are clearly stated. If a buyer makes a wrong choice you want to blame the seller. This seems to be more of the "I don't need to take any responsibility for my own actions" thought process.

As time goes by and casino187 adds to his inventory, I'm sure he will offer us reasonable prices for the new model Scooba and the new 700 series Roombas. I purchase all the latest and greatest iRobot parts from casino187 with great confidence.

How long is the charge time and run time on that lil thing? Where IS the battery located?
8 hr charge time and 45 minutes for normal cycle = 150 sq ft or 14 sq m (20 minutes for short cycle X2 = each 60 sq ft or 5,6 sq m). Battery pack is located next to the dirty water tank.
Oh wow! If I understand correctly, you can clean 150 sq ft before it runs out of battery charge, then it has to charge for roughly 8 hours before you can clean your next room with it? Bummer. I was hoping for a shorter charge time so I could run it maybe a couple of times a day in several rooms. I guess it would be a great companion for a full-sized Sccoba but not your *only* Scooba if you have all hard (in my case mildly textured tile) floors throughout your house.

It was over 6 hours. I have to admit, I never put a timer on it and watched it past the 6 hours.

Okay, thanks! That tells me what I wanted to know. I'll get a full-sized Scooba first and then get the 230 later on for the bathrooms and small office area. Now to decide which Scooba to get.

What is annoying for me in this new little scooba? the sound of started on and off again vacuum motor during a cycle...is it neccessary? and the hard-bumping sensors  Also, looks like grouts stays "un-touched" by water after the pass - red juice in 7th video stays there

That sound is the pump motor.

I think that the sound of pump is "yiki, yiki..." and vacuum motor (this which I describe in above post) is "uuuhhhmmm"...

Moreover, this motor which makes "uuuhhhmmm" sound is slowing down when scooba hits wall or other obstacle. Pump sound ("yiki...") is more visible at the begiining when he press start button, I think
