NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
I was just reading the new online instruction manual on Neato's web site.
On the bottom of the second page, there is the following copyright notice:
"Neato Robotics is a registered trademark of Neato Robotics, Inc. Neato XV-11, and Neato XV-15 and Your Future is Neat are trademarks of Neato Robotics, Inc."
Notice anything interesting?? Our current Neato vacuum is model XV-11. They are also mentioning XV-15! Sounds to me as if a new model is upcoming...

Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
I wonder if the XV-15 will be a new vacuum version that comes with the new lanuages and spot cleaning functionality referenced in the on-line instruction manual? Hopefully, thought, this new functionality will be part of the XV-11 firmware upgrade release scheduled for this June.TheGadgetGuy wrote:I was just reading the new online instruction manual on Neato's web site.

Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
maybe it will be that floor washer we saw the patent for
roomba 510, roomba 440, roomba 550 (parts bot), roomba red (programing robot)
Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
maybe just the Europe name
i hope not as that's what irobot did and we all know how confusing that is
although it could become the neato 1x series in the future
so neato your next gen robot should start with a 2

I think it looks cool already, it would be nice if it was modular though.assuncap wrote:this time make it look cooler!
by the way, have I ever said that I have a fire wire hub that look exactly like a neato XV-11.

Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
Neato,
When you release your XV-15, if it has a spinning sidebrush, I'll definitely be purchasing it!
It would be great PR to reward your early adopting (and loyal) XV-11 customers with some sort of trade-in upgrade program. For example, we send you our XV-11s and you give a significant discount on the XV-15 (say, half off). You'll be able to refurb/sell the used XV-11s and we'll still have the latest and greatest

Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
I just ordered an XV-11 from Neato, concerned that the XV-15 is right around the corner. I was told that the XV-15 is a European Model boasting European plug ends and optimizations and that it will not be available in North America. I placed my order based on this information, which was qualified and timely. I'm sure Neato has plans for the XV-11, but have no idea what they are or when they might be released.
I have been lurking around here for a while and am a former Roomba Discovery owner. Based on what I've been reading the Neato sounds like it is ready for my home!!
I look forward to interacting with this user community and making the Neato part of my housekeeping strategy.

I'm not sure about the european only version. The XV-11 is already available in europe in some sites.rafaelito wrote:I just ordered an XV-11 from Neato, concerned that the XV-15 is right around the corner. Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
I just got mine last weekend (I had a Roomba 550) and can't tell you how blown away I am from it's performance. In my house I have the dock at the far end it it has no problem finding it's way back every time. My 550 had a problem making it's way into all my rooms. It would always miss at least one room but would usually get it in the next days run. The XV-11 get every room every day. The battery has died once or twice towards the end of a run but it goes back to the dock, recharges and goes back out to finish. This really does make my Roomba seem like a toy.rafaelito wrote:I just ordered an XV-11 from Neato, concerned that the XV-15 is right around the corner. Sorry for the hi-jack, now back to the XV-15...
Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
yh but neato hasn't realised the xv-11 in Europe yet you can still get them but no support with the xv-15 there will be (i should think since they're selling it officially)assuncap wrote:

Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
I'm excited to receive my XV-11! Expecting the first week in June. As for the poster who remains uncertain, this information comes from a company (Neato) that is interested in selling their primary product. I took the time to call, instead of just ordering from their site, based on speculation in this post. If their was a new product that will supersede the X-11, I would not have taken time to register to update this thread.

Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
I'm really not sure what the point of this would be.rafaelito wrote:I was told that the XV-15 is a European Model boasting European plug ends
Over here in South Africa our power is 210V, just like most of Europe, and the XV-11 base station supports that just fine. As for plug ends, one just needs a simple little US-to-local plug adapter.
Neato could of course ship the XV-11 with the correct plug-end on the base station, as a convenience, but that alone does not warrant an entirely new model number, does it?
Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
we dont know if the xv-15 will have other things like a sidebrush or more powerful vacuum making the new modle number a good idea
also may be copywright issues like the saga megadrive had to be caulled the genisis in the us cos of it (copywright)
also irobot do europe only modles (555/581/564 pet (i think)) etc

Re: NEW Neato model?? Neato XV-15
In the US, yes. Which is why I was told by Neato and posted here that the XV-15 is slated for the European market with plug ends and optimizations (localizations?) for that market. I therefore ordered the XV-11.
