roomba i7 cloud issues
Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
I just received the update (1.4.0) and can confirm the firmware has fix the cloud issues, wahoo! I haven't tried the smart map yet (too late, time for bed) but the option is now available, I'm excited to try it tomorrow. I received the update when I open the iRobot app, it prompted to let me know there was a software update and to re-add my Roomba.
Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
awesome! that's great news.
Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
Walked by my i7 a few minutes ago and noticed the clean button was blinking. Few minutes later, my phone said an update had been installed and that the i7 was factory reset. It said to re add the roomba to the app.
Everything seems to back to normal, just have to let it remap the house again. Crossing fingers.

Waaaa! I want MY update now!!
Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
No update for me as of last night...
Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
I think its done in stages, hopefully you guys will get your update soon. At least iRobot was able to fix this issue by the promised date.
Note: I noticed on the app, you can no longer view the serial number, I guess this is their solution to the serial number not matching the Roomba and the app. lol

I still haven't any updates ((
Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
It will come. If you can access your roomba via wifi, then it's on the net.
Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
I just deleted my app (iOS), downloaded it again, and went through the setup and after setup my Roomba had the 1.4.0 software and the history is now active. Good luck!
Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
It updated itself (cool) while I was away on business. Back up and running.

Same as fooseball. Deleted the app, reset roomba to factory and reinstalled/setup. All updated and functional.
Re: roomba i7 cloud/WiFi issues
I am having problems which sound similar in many ways to those posted here. My serial numbers match and the i7, which I purchased from iRobot directly and received Oct. 22, has version 1.0.8 software. The setup and registration seems to go fine and I am prompted to update the i7's software. When I start the process the animated progress screen shows downloading occurring. This goes on for maybe a minute or two and then the i7's clean light turns red and I eventually get a message saying "No internet connection detected. Eventually the red light goes out and I can again see the i7 via the iRobot Home app on my iphone.
I have contacted iRobot support and gone thru troubleshooting with a tech. He finally got to a point where he said the software update would be pushed to my i7 in the next few days. I continue email dialog with tech support but so far no resolution and no pushed update after 2 days.
I believe my problem may be a little different though. The problem appears to me to be the i7 dropping off my WiFi regularly every few minutes. By looking at my router log and a Wireshark capture, the i7 is requesting a renewal of its ip address shortly after it drops off my WiFi network. There is no other traffic to the i7 other than the DHCP request.
Anyone experience this variation and if so, and ways to solve?

Re: roomba i7 cloud issues
For anybody using a router with DD-WRT software, I was having issues getting my Roomba i7 to connect to irobots cloud. Once is updated to the latest firmware is came right up no problems whatsoever.

Received that update yesterday.

Any new features with it? I'm still on 1.2.7.
