My Electrolux Trilobite will no longer work with the charging base, is there a way to bypass the base and charge the Trilobite directly. There appears to be a port above the charging contacts. What type of charger would work?
If I have to repair the base, would anyone have a lead on where to find a replacement contact switch on the charging base. It looks like I will need a set of torque wrenches to open the base.
Thanks in advance

Re: Electrolux Trilobite Direct Charging
I don't really use my Trilobite anymore, but I think it'd be better to fix the base rather than try and make do without it since the Trilobite always hunts the base after cleaning; without the base, the Trilobite will simply circle the room indefinitely until the batteries are flat which isn't good practice.
As I recall, the base is really easy to open, and contains nothing really more than a standard self-contained switch-mode laptop-computer-style power supply "brick" connected to the contacts (there certainly isn't a separate circuit board or anything non-standard that you couldn't find in a general electronics store). I recall there being a label on the brick stating what the voltage/current needs to be so I'd think it should be quite easy to replace if needed.
