It is unusual for vacuum robots to be advertised on TV, so expensive media. Roomba had commercials throughout the 2017 weekend marathon broadcast of an entire 10 episode new season of cable SyFy's "12 Monkeys" sci fi time travel intrigue series in one weekend. Derived from edgy movie same name. Maybe ratings decline, get it out of the way, since another network dropped its time travel show (not as creative IMHO). Maybe those prehistoric cave drawings allegedly flying saucers are from Roomba's sent back in time by shamans for cleaner caves.
I have not noticed any long Infomercials for robots like seen for regular vacuum cleaners. Maybe because they cannot demonstrate superior cleaning, just stylish smartphone apps. Kind of boring to watch them as well, no flashy moves by demonstrators. No slicing, dicing, or julienne fries. No brew button.
