Dyson 360 Eye™ review is in the works..

Post by Fraggboy »

Hello all. Long time, no chat! I hope everything has been going great. I was pretty much on a long hiatus for personal reasons.

So.. During my multiple moves and life changes, my Karcher RC3000 was performing marvelous! It lasted quite a few years with no issues what so ever.

I just wanted a change. So, I sold it on eBay and I changed it for a Dyson 360 Eye. I've been running it for a few days now, and checked to see if anyone has created a review for it yet. I will be working on getting up a review here so others may have a chance to see it in the real world.

I'm surprised that no one has purchased an Eye on here yet and reviewed it.. Anyways, keep an eye out for it in the Reviews section in a few weeks. It's only been a few days (3 days)..
Chris

A1,

Yes, it has been quite a bit of time. Life changes has kept me super busy, but I think it's to a state where I can start helping the forum out. I have missed you guys for sure!

Just like FB, I've been busy with some life changes also. When I got the Dyson 360, the Samsung 9350, Botvac D3, and the Roomba 980, I put them all on battery standby while I concentrated on the 980 & 960. I welcome Fraggboys review, I'm out of time to do one at this moment.

Vic,

Wow! You have become the "Robotic vacuum whisperer", haven't you?! You will bring great comparison data to the mix for sure (When time permits). ;)

I still want to run mine for a few weeks solid before I feel comfortable in writing up a real-world review. I have been catching up on the posts from the other users who have left their comments/concerns about their Eye as well so I can look for them.

Thank you Ed. Craig explained the process in a different forum.

It's been too long..

Consumer reports did a short comparison of the Dyson with a Samsung Powerbot
https://www.consumerreports.org/robotic ... n-360-eye/
these being the two entries in what I see as a new class of higher powered robots at higher prices. They both offer cyclone extraction and washable filters but are very different in design. CR is a little misleading apparently testing the one odd Samsung model with side brushes, hard to find and not really their style.

I almost got a Dyson when I wanted to upgrade to clean new carpeting a year and a half ago but it was not available quite yet then outside of Japan, and its technical details raised a number of doubts for the intended use. Dyson seems to be devoted to getting their signature cyclone extraction realized in a robot, and using the tech developed for their stick vacuums.
Used Dyson's have shown up on Amazon down to $665 at Warehouse Deals, quite a discount.
