Braava m6 streaking The floor

Guys I want to love this new M6. It maps the house just as good as the I 7+ it cleans basted on the room you choose. But it just doesn’t clean very well my braava 380t with a microfiber washable cloth cleans way better. This m6 leaves streaks and tire marks everywhere on my shiny Brazilian cherry hardwood? Anyone else having problems? So just to let you know I used the wet cleaning pads that came with the robot with half of their solution like the book says. Left streaks everywhere,the other day from Best Buy I received the washable microfiber cleaning pads they seem to be leaving just as many streaks I just don’t get it. I called iRobot today and sent pictures they are going to send it to their technical team, I don’t know how they’re going to be able to help. What a disappointment if I do not get this to clean better!

I have one that I have been running for about a week and have not noticed a single streak or any marks from the wheels. I do have a darker hardwood floor with less of a shine, so maybe that has a bit to do with it, but still after inspecting I don't see any streaks.

Either way, I do believe this is something that iRobot will be able to fix with a software update. Making it more aware of where it has been and traversing across open areas where it has already cleaned. Even going back to the dock by driving alongside the edge of the wall or something of that sort.

Thank you for the info. I’m hoping your right about better navigation. So lots of people will be Receiving there robots this week. A few people on Facebook is complaining about streaks too. So we will see.

I just purchased my first mopping robot, a Braava Jet M6, and noticed the streaks and wheel marks that it leaves right away. The streaks were so bad that I almost invoked Amazon's 30 day return policy. I have a dark brown wood grain vinyl floor throughout most of my new house which streaks when mopped across the grain...a situation that my wife discovered by trial and error. She was advised by the installer to use a specific hard floor cleaner so that the vinyl was not damaged. At first she thought that the streaks were caused by the solution but soon discovered that they disappeared when she mopped with the grain instead of across it. I created "rooms" in my floor plan that were longer with the grain than they were wide across the grain so that the unit works in the correct direction. This eliminated the streaks, but left the wheel marks and trails to be dealt with.
I think that the folks at iRobot have missed the boat in several areas:
1. 1. No accommodation for differing floor textures has been made. I'm sure that wood grain is only one problem floor.
2. No way to specify a preferred direction to clean. This would prove extremely useful for problem surfaces.
3. The unit needs to have the ability to raise the mop pad off the floor when navigating to and from the dock or across finished areas.
4. The mapping software, which is rudimentary, needs to be accessible on a computer. Mobile devices don't have enough power to accommodate the improved mapping capability of this model. Really, I expected better software from an outfit with ROBOT in it's name.

Great breakdown of the unit. I am on the fence about getting one. I don't like using navigation cubes with my 380t. It seems so primitive.
Yes, web access (like the Nest thermostat) would be amazing!

I did it. I got the m6 but I am having the same streaking problems as listed above. iRobot seems to think my ratio of cleaner to water is not exact so that is why. Really? I only put in half the amount recommended. I don't want a lot of cleaner on my floor and I use my robot so much I would break the bank on cleaner solution. I might try Bona (speaking of breaking the bank) floor cleaner and see if it works better. They did say that was all right to use. Anyone else have any ideas? BTW, plain water leaves no streaks.
