New Mopping Robot 2020

Post by glnc222 »

Samsung JetMop bot just introduced $299. Twin rotating pads with water tank but no extraction suction like the iLife W400. Can be held by hand against walls. U.S. Samsung

Looks like a straight crib of the Everybot RS700. I bought one of these and tried it out and was largely unimpressed.

Yes, it's Everybot Edge direct copy. Even its dumb algorithm-based navigation. I would not buy even it was $99
Better look at new LG CordZero Thinq robot mop. It looks promising because uses camera based navigation like their robot vacuums, with build in map feature to send it cleaning certain rooms. Also, can work after robot vacuum finishes its job - all by itself.

It may not be a copy as much as the actual thing with the other brand, bought by Samsung as a large diversified operator in appliances and electronics. It could be licensed from the other company, bought from them as a supplier, or they might even own the other company.
