Scooba best deal that ships to Europe?

Post by June »

I've read thh thread on deals, but can't find any direct answers to where it would be best to get Scooba shipped to Europe?

Sharper Image ships, but are there any others? I'm assuming they are selling the "older" version of Scooba, didn't that one come with a separate charger, the product page didn't really say... at least I didn't find any info on that.

The good thing with SharperImage is the replacement-plan they sell, and as far as I've read also is valid over here. But their price seems high? On the other hand if they are the only ones to ship overseas, it's purely an academic issue ;-)

I was going to hold out for the scooba to become available here, since rumor said they would be sold officcially here in September. Now the rumor says "early 2007". And I just can't wait any more! :-)

June, not wanting to resort to a 150-dollar mail forwarding service...

Hello June,

You may check out Hammacher as well, they do ship worldwide and provide lifetime warranty. I have one as well to sell so if interested PM me. Eitherway, I recommend that you wait until they arrive in EMEA first. Good luck!

Hammacher looks like very professional.
However it is written "Only available for delivery in
the Continental U.S. and Canada." in both
Roomba & Scooba description.

Did someone already bought items from them shipped to Europe ?

Well, maybe you should wait a little bit.

I've read in another thread that IRobot will soon (beginning of 2007) really start to sell its bots in Europe.
Yessssssssss I've got it :)

Hammacher refuses to ship to Europe. They will gladly take your order on their site, but afterwards they inform you that they can't ship to Europe.

Sharper Image sells the latest model. I bought mine at Sharper Image; it died after 2 months and they replaced is without any questions asked. Very good service.

So for buying a Scooba in Europe I would recommend Sharper Image.
For spare parts I'd recommend YouAutomateIt.com

Hope this helps,

to "ehmail" :

thanks for you help. I prefer to order to a shop just in case of
problems, warranty .. it would be easier for us

to "I am proud of it" :

Yes, I should wait .. but it was promised for september 2006
now it is for beginning 2007 .. and I want it NOW !!!
(I am a little bit impatient !)

to "Phrozen Horse" :

The problem with Sharper Image is they do not mention the
shipping amount .. ?! .. so what ? Do they send a second invoice ?
or is it free ?

Re SharperImage shipping: you'll get an email in a day or so stating the exact amount of shipping, then you'll get to reply if you accept (if they don't hear from you they won't proceed with the order).

I asked about shipping for 4 bottles of clorox and some other stuff (a bag and few gadgets) a few weeks ago, and it was in the range of 60-70usd for it all, not bad.

BTW - if you get Scooba, check out my post in the "alternative solutions" thread (in the sticky-read-first section)

I got mine from youautomateit.com. I would advise it but unfortunatly they got greedy and multiplied their shippingcosts with factor 4, so they are of the list.

Thanks, I read your post.

By the way I read that Scooba was not already available in Europe
because the "clorox" is prohibited in Europe. So they are
finding an alternative solution .. maybe they could just read your post

If you find a store which offers warranty on Scooba in Europe, please post it as the warranty is voided by exporting it outside the US...
