The Looj

As of this morning, at the iRobot site, the Looj is there. So, I guess all the speculation was correct. I guess we have some pretty good detectives here at Roomba Review.

I found the product pretty interesting, the only concern that I have is how long the battery would last with some heavy duty use. Usually you have an accumalation of soggy leaves, in the fall, after a rain, which I think would make it hard work for the Looj, but I could be wrong. I will have to look into this some more.

Good find!

I like the idea... but $99 is still a bit expensive for me as I only have two stretches smallish sections of gutters on the house.

Did anyone notice that irobot's 30-day risk-free trial they have the following note:

*Only unused iRobot? Looj? Gutter Cleaning Robots may be returned within 30 days from the date of shipment for a full refund of purchase price.

That's not much of a trial.

They've also changed their return policy so that they no longer return the shipping charges.

I saw it on CNBC this morning. Most of it was an interview but there is video of the gutter cleaning robot (I don't think they mentioned it by name) doing its job.

I picked mine up yesterday and it (don't know yet if a girl or boy) is charging right now. Hopefully will video its maiden voyage this weekend.
