folks where can I buy this in the UK from? Or is it to be avoided... I read on this board that the European importer is useless...

whats the best advice for getting it in the UK and not ending up with one that dies after two weeks, as seems to be the case...?

i don't live in the UK, but from what i understand you either need to spend $450 to get one with a warranty or you need to purchase off of ebay for a lot less and live without the warranty.

The above link is for a Roomba Green (Sage) with remote, virtual wall and 2 spare filters.
The warranty can be extended to 3 or 5 years for an extra payment.
Delivery is very fast, I ordered one for my wife for christmas and it has been used daily with no problems. Just remember to follow the basic maintenance tips found in this forum.

That one is quite old, and from Ebay it's much cheaper!

Still a discovery series model and brand new with a UK spec CE approved charger.

I would not buy a roomba without a cast iron warranty, something you won't get from most ebay sellers!

You can buy two roombas on ebay for the price of one euro-roomba. They are WAY overpriced in Europe....I would never shell out that kind of money, when you can get it for almost half the price in the US..
