Hi I am talking about the one that comes assembeled BUT has to be installed into the yellow battery pack. It was very easy. Just 3 wires to salder. The extra wire fits nice in the pack. Loving it. I think it works better than the other battery I got from Interstate.
Its from TENERGY 14.4V NI-MH 3800 mAh. Came to about $35 with screwdriver off Ebay .

Well I have decided to report back on how the Tenergy battery is doing, I have had this in my 510 for a while now, The run time had gotten down a little bit, so I decided to do a couple rounds of running it all the way down (MAX except not) and then charging it up and letting it sit for a while, this has increased the run time to exactly 2 hours. I don't know, maybe I got a good battery, but mine has done much better than the stock Nicd battery that my 440 came with, that lasted about half of the time my 510 has had the Tenergy battery in it.

I don't think its fair to compare a Roomba 400 against a 500

The composition of both the 4XXX and 5XX NiMH battery packs is the same. Both use 12 Sub-C cells, the 4XXX cells are encased in a plastic shell and the 5XX cells are wrapped in heat shrink plastic. If the mAH capacity is the same they should be identical in load test results.

I originally bought the same thing as at the beginning of the post, it was wired for as a 4xxx roomba drop in kit, After my roomba red died, I took that 4xxx battery pack, and rewired it for a 5xx roomba, I then put the plastic thing on from my 510's old Nicd battery into the 4xx battery, and rapped it in this wide yellow rubber tape. It looks just like a 5xx Nimh battery, except it was originally bought, as a Tenergy roomba 4xxx drop in kit with a triangle screwdriver.

I understand... What I was saying is the power usage is probably different.
