Good Day Friends,
After around 4 months of satisfied Neato use, I was really embaressed when the Neato Left wheel came out along with the small scqrew... It seems that some ikea furniture is not that friendly for Neato (esp the Easy chair and Swing dining chair). This robot tries hard to get over the chair base for a while and then takes another path. When it tries to get over the chair base, the wheel still spins while the robot is stuck. I think this makes the scqrew to loosen up and after several attemps, its almost loose. This is not a very serious issue. I was able to fix that wheel back . Only problem is if I tighten the scqrew, then that wheel does not spin. So I had to tighten it in a mild way.
This has happened almost two times... Anybody experienced similar situation? Any suggestions?
Kind Regards,
Sam

Try placing some of that magnetic tape on the chair base that Neato gets hung up on. Neato will detect the magnetic field and stay away from the chair base.warlock79 wrote:Good Day Friends,

Sorry to hear you are having a problem with your Neato.
When you replace the wheel screw put a drop of non-permanent thread locker on the end of the threads. The wheels come that way from the factory.

Are you saying the magnetic strip can be up on a chair base's cross beam (approx 2 cm high), and doesn't have to be on the floor? If so, I'll have to try that myself, as my Neato climbed over my rocker/recliner's base today for the first time, and it didn't look pretty!Scott up north wrote: Try placing some of that magnetic tape on the chair base that Neato gets hung up on. Re: Neato Wheel came out!!!
I've never tried the magnetic strip 2 cm off the floor.....I've only used it at floor level. How well it works I think all depends on how Neato's magnetic sensor encounters the magnetic strip. I'd do some experimentation. Maybe glue a portion of the magnetic strip on the side of the wheels/wheel housing? I have, it doesn't work at all, the mag strip must be on the floor.Scott up north wrote:I've never tried the magnetic strip 2 cm off the floor.....
