I think it is covered in the long instructional video linked in the Mods & Repairs list. What has also been treated is the detector for the spin, which someone had to bend back into place. This has been improved in newer models with more than one detector reported. One case involved some tilt from improper mounting.
Could you please be a bit more specific about which video you are thinking of?
There is quite a lot of links on the Mods & Repair List page :?

one of several listed in "disassembly precautions" http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewto ... ns#p106981
The lenses have screw barrels for moving in and out but I don't know how to recognize the focus, especially on the receiver. The IR beam can be seen with a digital camera but the beam may operate only when spinning, so a lot of fiddling. Someone else may know more.

[edit] Also discussed in Neato Control Program thread in posts at http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewto ... 33#p140933

More lidar repair posts have appeared on other websites, shown in Google search. e.g.

The lidar interface is a serial output with a protocol which was published once and the unit is taken out of Neato's for other uses. It might be necessary to hook it up to something besides a Neato to adjust it, I don't know. These things are useful to hobbyists equipped for that kind of work on instruments.

Hi, sorry to bring this up
I am very happy that I am not the one who has this problem. My robot is doing exactly the same! It cleans only the edge of the room (one room with closed door). I tried spot cleaning and it did the same behavior, just only changes from the edge of room to the edge of spotted rectangle area.

Any solution or suggestion this, thank you so much
