Any reason to purchase Signature Pro over XV-11?
Thank you all for the information in this forum. I've been reading it for a few days now and I've narrowed down my choice to one of the Neato units. It will be used to clean my ~2000 sq ft house that is mostly hardwood with some area rugs.
Right now I'm considering the Signature Pro for $350 from Groupon (comes with four extra filters in addition to the standard two) or the popular XV-11 from Walmart for $298 ($229 plus $40.76 for the Pet and Allergy Upgrade Kit, plus $28 for the three year service plan). Is there any reason to go with the Signature Pro? It seems from everything I've read here that the XV-11 with the latest firmware may be just as good. I'd appreciate your comments. Thanks.

Color would be the only reason.

Only two reasons that I am aware of:
1) Color
2) You have too much money and want to pay twice the price for the "same" robot.

I realize it's a no-brainer at full retail price for the Signature Pro but I wasn't sure if reducing it to just a $50 difference (neglecting the clear benefit of the XV-11 service plan) changed things at all. Thanks.
Re: Any reason to purchase Signature Pro over XV-11?
How do you reduce it to $50 difference as the XV-11 is $220 and I haven't seen the Sig Pro for close to $270?

It's there in my OP. XV-11 from Walmart with Pet/Allergy Kit and service plan for $298 total, Sig Pro with four extra filters from Groupon for $350.
Re: Any reason to purchase Signature Pro over XV-11?
I'm not sure if that is an equal comparison as I don't think the groupon Neato has the 3 year warrenty? In my experience, buying an external 3 year electronics warranty would be significantly more than the $28 walmart charges so I think that would bump the price even further apart. Also, I wouldn't buy the neato right now at walmart as it's $230 vs usual price of $220 (it fluctuates back and forth every week it seems). Just my opinion though....

And recently they had a deal at walmart where it was $220 for the XV-11 with a $40 gift card included.

Now that the price for the XV-11 has jumped to $545 at Walmart, how does the XV-21 for $269 look?
Re: Any reason to purchase Signature Pro over XV-11?
It looks like Walmart is not selling the XV-11 direct which would explain the huge price difference, it's through a 3rd party if you look carefully on their website. Looks like the best bet right now is the XV-21 for $269. Hopefully, walmart will start selling the XV-11 again directly.

Not likely. 11's probably not made since 21's introduced, and left over inventory sold at clearance (as labeled at Walmart), common with model changes in TV's and such. Black Signature and White 21 cover needed color choices.

Costco.com has the signature for $269 with 4 High-Performance Filters. It has the standard brush which is OK with me for dog hair on low to medium shag and tile. Seems like a good deal with the cost of the filters.

Re: Any reason to purchase Signature Pro over XV-11?
The other big question when contemplating a purchase is the price of the extended warranty as Robotic vacuums have a high failure rate at a few years out. I remember when I bought mine from Walmart it was $28 for the 3 year extended warranty.
