neato signature pro vs vorwex vr 100
can you people help me decide between the neato signature pro and the vorwex vr-100
as I am not sure if the performance is better on the vorwex and it seems rather hard to find here in the usa
now the neato is a lower price and can be easily found in store but is the performance worse then its German counterpart
I know the vorwex has a better battery and a side brush but doesn't it use the same brush filter and suction motor as the signature pro
so performance wise are they about the same in cleaning performance or is one slightly better then the other

Other than the side brush and LI-ion battery there are no other functional differences between the two models.

Very possible but since I do not have that model to make an actual comparison I'm not sure it's more powerful, just a different design for less battery load or air handling or cost.davidwieczkowski wrote:isn't the motor slightly more powerful on the vorwex

Re: neato signature pro vs vorwex vr 100
I think I heard it was just redesigned for less noise and I know the vorwex fan is the same model number as a standard neato but also runs on a higher voltage and thus spinning faster and in theory slightly more suction and probably more power draw but thanks to the better batteries it can probably handle the grater power consumption
and the reason I think they revised the fan was to reduce noise from the even higher rpm fan do to the higher voltage
also is the vorwex filter heapa or was that just a rumor
and the brush also looks like a variation of the pet and Algerian brush on the vorwex version of neato almost like it was improved

Re: neato signature pro vs vorwex vr 100
Bits reported by members with Vorwerk's amount to this:
(1) runs the front brush 25 per cent faster
(2) side brush ([edit] none of which are not effective on carpet}
(3) same Pet filter and Brush -- later released by Neato for their models after original for Vorwerk
(4) LIthium Ion Battery with fewer replacements needed (but also not available after-market)
Vorwerk is oriented to sales where they have a dealership presence and available service for customers.
It is pitched to a higher end market and costs two to three times Neato's.

I have not discontinued the HEPA filter mod, I just added another choice as well as the HEPA modified filter.

oh I most of mish read the description
on the standard moded ones
also where do you get the new heapa filter you know the green ones are they some kind of generic one because a lot of neato filters are listed as heapa but in reality they are not and end up filtering even worse

Re: neato signature pro vs vorwex vr 100
The Green ones are HEPA filters direct from China. The Red ones are the ones I mod with HEPA filters cut to size and mounted on stock Neato filters.
Re: neato signature pro vs vorwex vr 100
If your in the US, I think you can probably buy 3 Neato's for the price of 1 import Vorvex. And then their is the question of support. How much does the insurance cost if buying from Europe? I think at walmart you can get a 3 year warranty for like $30. These are mechanical and if used frequently I think one can expect some kind of failure in that time frame.

I use these green HAPA filter here with all my Neatos and have good results.
Vorwex does not sell outside of Europe.

vic would you say that your moded filters work better then the green ones you sell our are they about the same
hmm so vorwex only ship to Europe eh well I know some family member's there I could take advantage of
but I will most likely get neato signature anyways then again the vorwex dose clean a little better

Re: neato signature pro vs vorwex vr 100
I can vouch for the quality of Vic's filter, I have been using one in my XV-11 for close to a year and it still works great. And unlike Neato's own brand, it is HEPA certified.
Also, as for buying, I would remind you that every model of Neato is "essentially" the same (plus-minus pet brush/filter), so I would go with whatever is the cheapest, and which ever store offers the best extended warranty package. Other than that, you are only paying for the color of the plastic.

did you use the one of the new green plastic ones or did you use the original modified ones as the modified ones seem a much higher quality then the new type she is selling
