Multiple cleanings per day with scheduler?

Post by kamidan »

I broke down and bought the scheduler from Bed, Bath and Beyond for $59.00 figuring that I wasn't utilizing the roomba fully since with 3 dogs in the house the kitchen linoleum is constantly getting dog hair and dust and dirt that the dogs track in from the yard.

I've read the manual and maybe Im missing the obvious, but I'd like to program the roomba to clean the area 3 times a day instead of how I have it programed now (which is one time a day every day at 1pm).

Is this possible, or can it only be programmed to run once per day with the scheduler?

Thanks,

Would that be 7 cycles per day, or 7 cycles per week? If anyone else can chime in on this I'd appreciate it.

You can only schedule one run per day. Either that or I'm missing some secret key sequences that will make my scheduler act any differently (not out of the question!)

I know you're limited to 7 times per week. I've never tried to do more than one a day so I don't know if that's possible. But if you're limited to 7 per week, might as well have it run once a day instead of multiple times in one day then have to skip other days.

Okay, I guess then Im limited to once per day

Then I'll make a suggestions to iRobots that they include a way to schedule it multiple times per day for people like me that have a dalmation that sheds literally 365 days/year as well as 2 other shedding dogs.

If it had a bigger bin, then I'd have 5 of them. But emptying them midstream when on the carpets is too much of a chore to make them worthwhile. The big dyson can hoover the rugs in no time flat, but the roomba does a brill job on the kitchen hard floor.

Sounds like it time to shave your dogs.

Have you tried the comb recommended in this thread?

Hmm, if you say that they'll say great if he sheds 365 days then schedule it once a day and your covered. :)

Thats how I do it:

When I leave the house i turn the roomba scheduler on manually.
Then program the schedule to start in 5 hours (approx. 2 hours running time+ 2-3 hours charging) so this gives you at least two runs !

I get three runs per day if required. One manual start as I leave the house for work. A scheduled clean at lunchtime. And another manual one in the evening too if I feel the kitchen needs it.
