Samantha, that's great! I think you will love him! I'm excited for you! I've gotten to where I can't do without my 5800. Let us know when you get him/herSamantha wrote:I got a 5800!So excited! I can't wait to get it.
Congratulations, and if I may be so bold - Me too ! (well an Amazon refurb - it was once a 5800!)
Steve (for now) showed up last weekend, took an overnight recharge then ran two missions back to back (oops) on my white oak hardwoods. He stopped for a recharge then did the bedroom.
I didn't do well timing the runs, but ~45 minutes to an hour counting his dry cycle/squeegee run and battery was not the limiting factor. I had swept and vacuumed prior to setting him loose but was still impressed at what he had managed to gather in the screen after his first run. Half a measure of juice topped off with water each time, and the dirty tank was clean by the second run. The floors looked great, and since I'd had a heads up from reading the boards - no entanglements along the way. I was quite pleased, and the floors passed the barefoot test with flying colors. I guess I have to go hunt for Cloro-mix now (anyone tried Bona X or the like ?).
My plan is to run the guy 2-3 missions a week (4 once I get the kitchen floors redone) on ~1200sqft. of hardwood. I've got a 4xxx series scheduler refurb due tomorrow. I'll use him/her to roam the main area a few times a week while I'm at work to keep the crud conies at bay. Clean floors can be addictive.

OH MY GOD. How disgustingly dirty was my floor?
Unbelievable.
The only thing is that twice I got an I'm Stuck error message and even tho I did what the book said I couldn't get the message to go away. I just turned it off and turned it back on so it restarted the cycle
and then when I thought it was close to being done the tank I started the drying part. So I didn't actually get it to do a full cycle. Anyone else have that problem?

I've found the fastest/easiest way to get Scooba to going again when it gets stuck is to simply turn off, get it unstuck, and then start it back up again. The amount of time it runs, given that there is sufficient battery left, is determined by the fullness of the dirty tank and/or the emptyness of the solution tank. Turning off and restarting won't hurt your Scooba at all.
