Costco.com drops Neato?
The Botvac had sold out but there are no Neato products on Costco.com. They are still listed by Neato as a reseller but the link is a search that fails. I hope this is short term.

Re: New 2012 model iClebo Arte ... CHECK IT OUT!
Surprised by what seems like low interest in the iClebo Arte - Costcom.com has very positive reviews of it.

Re: Any reason to purchase Signature Pro over XV-11?
Costco.com has the signature for $269 with 4 High-Performance Filters. It has the standard brush which is OK with me for dog hair on low to medium shag and tile. Seems like a good deal with the cost of the filters.

Re: Do Costco stores still sell Neato?
They are covered by Costco's general warranty so I don't think they sell an extended warranty. I guess I'll wait a few more months to see if it comes back to the stores or if the online price drops.

Do Costco stores still sell Neato?
The 2 Costco stores in my area (near Pittsburgh) no longer sell them - I had bought an XV-11 but the display failed so I had to return it. Has anyone seen Neato in the warehouses? I know Costco.com sells them but only an XV-14 for $300 - I paid $200 for the XV-11 which still came with extra filters....

Re: Battery Run-times?
I didn't know about the "new battery" option so I just let the XV-11 keep recharging - the first few runs were very short (just a few minutes) but that increased to at least 20 so the logic must be more complex or different.

Re: Neato XV-14 from Costco with firmware 3.2
Did you get it from costco.com or from a store? My local costco hasn't had any Neato vacs for a few months now.

Re: LCD screen blank repair?
I've had my XV-11 for a few months but now the LCD has gone completely blank even though it's brightly lit. I can clean rooms by hitting the power button but I can't see anything on the display so I'm screwed for many operations. I bought it from Costco so I can get my $200 back but they don't sell ...

Re: Neato 2 wish list!
Alternating the direction is almost certain to help cleaning plus reduce wheel marks as well as provide better coverage since my Neato misses the end of turns with some regularity. I would also use the multiple pass option - maybe it could alternate directions on each pass in that mode.

Re: Software version 3.1
Even on a long, straight mag strip it keeps going back at it - I think it had decided from the room scan that the opening I put the mag strip in was the doorway to another room so it was determined to get to it - too determined!

Re: Neato 2 wish list!
I have an open floor plan and Neato can't seem to recognize the openings so cleaning one room = cleaning the whole floor which means picking up chairs that I don't want climbed in a room I don't want cleaned - If I use magnetic strips, it's ugly and requires about 2 more sets($60) so I'd rather have...

Re: Neato 2 wish list!
Alternate primary direction in a room so the carpeting doesn't get the same pattern on it every time + cleaning might improve with a different direction. Adjustable bumper height would help rooms like mine where everything is very flat and I want to stop the vac from climbing my chairs etc. Some oth...

Re: XV-11 bumper design and climbing
That looks like it would do it - would be nice if there was an easy to remove/install replacement bumper with height adjustment.

Re: Wheel assembly scraping sound
I can't tell what it's hitting but it's not the battery compartment. I don't see any scratches either. The other wheel moves freely.

Re: New Neato FW Spotted 3.0.17235
I was able to mostly stop the climbing on the Poang by adding bumpers from Lowes:
Doesn't work for the other chair legs because Neato will spin and climb them from the side but it seems to work with this one.

Mine is also doing that and is about 1 month old - runs fine. Definitely not the rubber tire scraping - seems like the arm or something connected to it. Maybe it's normal but it feels odd...

Re: XV-11 bumper design and climbing
I attached 8 round plastic/silicon? adhesive backed furniture pads to the bottom of the bumper where they would not interfere with the bumper motion. This does trigger the bumper more often but as you have pointed out - the Neato is very diligent at turning and trying from a side angle where it will...

XV-11 bumper design and climbing
I tried adding 3/8" shims under the speaker stands that Neato is climbing up on but it still was not enough. When I look at the bumper from the side it seems that there is enough vertical play in the bumper to allow it to ride up on objects(especially with rounded edges) more than I would like....

Re: New Neato FW Spotted 3.0.17235
I can raise the speaker stands easily but not the chairs so I may try the silicon pad.
