At this year's IFA 2011 exhibition, Samsung just launched a quite new robot - Navibot S. According to the source and guessing from the pic, this is just a re-designed Navibot plus it has evolutionary mod - self-emptying dock station with 2 litre bag-less dustbin in-dock capacity. New one detects itself when its build-in bin need to be emptied and go to the base when needed. The main brush will be cleaned, also.
The new robot is able to clean its main brush and empty its internal bin from dust at its dock. Moreover, it's now oblate - just 8cm in height (before: 9,3cm) and 10% smaller than it's predecessor.
Thanks for upgraded Visionary Mapping Plus System the robot can clean much faster - 320mm/sec (Navibot/Tango - 280mm/s, Navibot Silencio/Tango Stealth - 300mm/sec), smoother (turns at 120 deg/sec) and safer than its predecessors. Sensors gets upgrade as well. To compare - now it takes only 11 minutes to clean an 5x5m (25 sq m) area - previus 19 minutes.
Navibot S has dust sensor - he will detect more dirty areas and concentrate on them more. This is not the end - he will boost its cleaning power (main brush spin and vacuum power) in this stage. Everything to clean more effective.
The new Navibot will be quiet.
The colour is stylish and sleek black (silver version in video clip).
Navibot S will be available later this year. No word about price as yet.
