TinkerBots lets anyone create robots out of 'Living Legos'.

TinkerBots is a new building set from Kinematics with easy-to-add robotics that makes it like "living LEGOs" and enables kids and adults to create all kinds of toy robots.

Neato Botvac line of Robots Announced

Neato announced the BotVac line of Robotic Vacuum Cleaners today.  Due to be released in April, the initial launch will consist of four new models:  The BotVac 70e, The BotVac 75, The BotVac 80 and the BotVac 85.  The prices will range from $479 to $599.

The new Roomba 870 will clean your floors like no vacuum has ever cleaned before. iRobot Braava Launches today, replaces mint and mint plus.

Looks like iRobot has relaunched the Evolution Mint as the new iRobot Braava.  The Mint and the Mint Plus are now the Braava 320 and the Braava 380t.  It's unclear if there are any actual updates other than the curiously awkward new names - but from the listed specifications it would appear that they are unchanged.

Sphero Introduces Augmented Reality Apps at CES 2013

Orbotix announced new gaming apps at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

 

iRobot Acquires Evolution Robotics, makers of the Evolution Mint, for $74 Million Dollars.

iRobot announced today that it has acquired Evolution Robotics, makers of the Evolution Mint robotic floor cleaner. The Evolution Mint floor cleaner isn't known as much for it's cleaning prowess as it is for it's advanced Northstar navigation and vSLAM room mapping system.

Roomba 650 and Roomba 630 Announced.

iRobot has announced two new vacuuming robots today, the iRobot Roomba 630 and the Roomba 650.  The Roomba 600 series is basically the Roomba 500 series updated for 2012 with new styling, and all of the improvements added to the 500 series robots over the years such as iAdapt, the vastly improved AeroVac bin, and the new improved brush design.

iRobot's Roomba Vacuum Goes Wireless

Is your current robotic vacuum cleaner not smart enough for you? iRobot is attempting to remedy that today, with the latest addition to its Roomba lineup of robovacs. The Roomba 790 introduces a wireless command center to the mix, which allows you to control the vacuum no matter where you are in the house.

Sphero robotic ball from orbotix hands on at CES

I came across sphero's booth at CES and was immediately drawn to the simplicity of the Sphero's design. On the outside, it looks like an ordinary white ball.  But on the inside, sophisticated electronics allow you to control the ball with your smartphone, or even use the ball itself as a controller!

LG Hom-Bot is now available for sale in the US. Once more people get wind that it's available and a few reviews start showing up, I'm willing to bet that there will be more an more homes with LG robotics in them.

Neato Robotics attended last year's CES and shared a booth in the North Hall with another exhibitor.  I have been here for a few days now, and I haven't found them yet.  Will I be successful in finding Neato?
